Some stories deserve more than a video.
A growing part of the work at Kelowna Video Solutions is focused on preserving creative lives, personal histories, and important bodies of work.
Legacy projects may include documentary films, extended interviews, photography, published books, archival research, and digital preservation.
The goal is simple: To preserve not only what someone created, but who they were, how they worked, and why it mattered.
Selected projects have expanded beyond film into ISBN-registered books, archival collections, and preservation through public repositories including Archive.org and Library and Archives Canada.
A video may introduce someone to a story today.
A book, interview, or archive may allow someone to discover it decades from now.
Legacy Projects
Each project is different.
Some begin with an interview. Others grow from a lifetime of artwork, photographs, writing, or family history.
The final form may include film, photography, biography, publication, digitization, archival organization — or a combination of these.
There is no standard package.
The work is shaped around the story worth preserving.
